Assignment Title: Full time Administrative Assistant / Translator

The MERP supports the Government of Moldova reform program by financing activities that will strengthen the quality of education and lead to a more efficient education sector. Through this Project – budget support instrument, the World Bank will support the GoM in implementation quality assurance standards for hub schools. 
The World Bank offers in parallel technical assistance to help the Ministry of Education of Moldova (MoEd) in the achievement of DLIs, through making available global knowledge and technical expertise.
The Administrative Assistant/ Translator will have administrative responsibilities, including keeping organized project files, translating/interpreting as needed, assisting the Project Coordinator with daily project management, organizing logistics, etc.
The Ministry of Education now invites individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they meet the minimum required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services:
• University degree in English philology or field related to the assignment;
• At least 3 years of active translation experience (English into Romanian & vice versa);
• At least 2 years of experience in administrative work in the projects financed by international financial organizations;
• Previous work experience as translator in projects financed by international financial organizations would be an advantage;
• Excellent computer skills;
• Experience translating for the education sector will be an advantage. 
The assignment period is expected to run from January 2014 until December 2014. In case of successful delivery of the TORs, the contract may be renewed yearly until the end of the project.
